Oh, coffee.... You elixer to the Gods. I'm experiencing a rough one this morning, folks. I had a bad dream last night and woke up around midnight, staying up for most of the night. I hate it when this happens.... Because, when I finally do fall asleep, I'm so fucking tired when it's time to get up again. I ended up hitting snooze 3 times and still lay in bed for another ten minutes with my eyes shut. Ugh.... Now I have absolutely no motivation, whatsoever. I just want to crawl back into bed and sleep for the rest of this rainy day. It's rainy, and muggy, and I'm tired, and the meaning of life is in question right now.... Wish me luck. |

I like to start my day with 2 cups. I'm not big on Starbucks or anything... I always just make my own. And, only in the morning.

RESPONDING TO: Perhaps there is a reason you have felt like an outsider. sure. take a look at the pic of the mug granny posted. granted that to most thats a joke, ha-ha. but there ARE a finite amount of people for whom thats an actual way of life. while im sure thats not you, i once saw a jeopardy contestant who was introduced as a college professor, no less, whose chosen intermission topic to talk about was how none of her students were allowed to talk to her in the morning unless they saw her not only WITH her mug, but having actually having DRANK from that mug. a college professor! on jeopardy! ! even if theyre the exception rather than the rule, its no fun having to work with or interact with even one person like that. have a good weekend, and looking forward to INDEPENDENCE DAY holiday on a WEEKEND next week. Sometimes I feel like the 'odd' one because I am not a coffee drinker. Tea is my drink of choice and am now making up my own jugs of iced tea (no sugar). My daughter is viewed as even 'odder' as she doesn't drink coffee, tea nor hot chocolate.

i woke at 430a for a trip to the bathroom and the goons i live with didn't put the seat down - God, i HATE that shit. i keep telling myself to start dropping the seat. i was awake for an hour; disgusted. i'm still disgusted bc i never did my cup of coffee after all and what it's almost 9pm. i'm telling myself, tomorrow. you'll get it. tomorrow.

Wow... That's kind of judgy. 1. I don't require coffee to be responsible. There are plenty of mornings that I don't get my first cup until the 9 o'clock meeting at work. 2. I only drink coffee at home or at work. I stick to 2 cups in the morning. I'm pretty sure others see me as the cute, funny office lady who goes out of her way to help everyone else. you can always have my coffee, never liked it nor its "aroma"  amp;nothing against coffee-drinkers, enjoy as you will, but those who dont DO resent - 1) those of you who are brainwashed into thinking youre absolved of any responsibility for functionality until youve had your first cup (or two, or . . ?). OR take advantage of the urban legend to do so . . .  "dont talk to me yet" ? seriously ? while on the clock for an hour ? and 2) having to pay extra to get something else in a free-coffee-included prix-fixe meal at restaurants while they fill your cups up over and over again for free.  hopefully you can see "the other side", you can chuckle at how you look to others, and we can agree to disagree. I woke up at least three times during last night. Pains in my legs/ankles are constant now. I didn't get out until 10 o'clock this morning! It's humid over here at the moment.

I never developed a taste for coffee sorry to say, but I can relate to sleepless nights. Those have happened far too often to count. I hope you get some well earned rest soon. Introduction... Coffee. I should sleep well tonight, though. I'm headed to the gym for the first time in months. Can't wait.

Och, hate those kinds of nights. My problem is lack of sleep rather than bad dreams though, and then the next day is like zombie land! Coffee, double hit early on, keeps me going in the morning. But I really need a deadline to get motivated when I'm like that. Good luck, hope you don't bite anyone's head off today! (Funnily enough, I get the impression you rarely do that, and never at work!  )

I have Thursday and Friday off this week.... I can't wait. I haven't been able to take any time off since this whole COVID-19 thing happened and there was such a focus on hiring where I work. It'll be nice to have a 4 day weekend to just.... relax.
